I'm considering getting a lizard for one of my tanks. I want something that is semi aquatic and wont outgrow a 60 gallon, and the more crocadilian looking the better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
Shinisaurus crocodilurus is majorly threatened due to restricted habitat...and illegal to collect for the pet trade I do believe. Anyone ever seen them for sale?
Caiman lizards (Dracaena sp, yes like the plant) are an aquatic lizard, but far too large for a 60 (and expensive to boot).
caiman lizards are about $2000, and need a huge setup, and i think they only eat snails, anyone know anymore on theese guys?
and chinese croc lizards can be bought captive bred, but are expensive. theres an article on them in the reptiles magazine. we have 2 at the zoo i intern at, really cool lizards
caimen, think it's spelled caymen but not sure. They'll eat just about anything if you get em' young and teach em'. Wild caught specimins are a different story.
