Aquatop vs. SunSun

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Awuatop CF500UV and the SunSun HW-304B? I the way I understand it, Aquatop is just the American version of SunSun but I was hoping someone who has used these filters could chime in. Also, I was hoping I could hear some personal experiences with these two filters and if they are any good. Thanks in advance -J
 
Aquatop, Sun Sun, Marineland C-Series and I think Jebo are all about the same filter some have UV some do not. I can only speak for the Marineland 530. It's a Big filter tons of room. My only negative has been that you need to be careful when cleaning that the trays are fit back in place tightly or it will spit air sometime into the tank. Most people say good things about them.
 
I have the aquatop 400uv and its great. I pile in media so the flow is a lil weaker but I run 3 filters on the tank and the 400 is my bio filter

The reason I ask is because the sunsun, which looks the same as the cf-500uv, is selling for $30 cheaper on Amazon right now. I was wanting to get rid of my HOBs and get canisters for a 130 and possibly a 180. The Aquatop sounds like a pretty decent product and there is no reason to pay more for the same thing with a different name.
