Aquatop vs. SunSun

i picked up an almosts new sunsun hw-303b for $40 (craigslist) 2 days ago and am running it on a 80gal with 10 med-lg tin foils & a lg blood parrot. previously with just a FLUVAL 404 & the water would clear up on filter renewal but soon trend towards cloudy. I ran the 303b for 24hrs with UV light on, and then 24hrs with it off. filter floss in the bottom tray, charcoal in the middle, and fluval bio cubes in the top tray. flow is quite low, but my water is now very clear.

SunSun, Aquatop, and Marineland-- the ones sold under any other name than SunSun are re-branded for the American market. All are built by the same Chinese company. I own 6 of the SunSun 304 rated at 565 gph. Ive owned these from 2 yrs to a few months. Ive never had a failure and these are great filters that give you plenty of flexibility. I buy mine from Ebay store: CLL Pet Supply

Mine are running on tanks from 150 gal to 115 gal and all pull them fine.
