Aqueon 180 gallon reviews

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you. I make fishing equipment and I want to keep a couple of display bass in my shop. I want a large tank for their comfort.
Nice. If I were still local I’d pop in to take a look around. I fished Marsh Creek and Green Lane Reservoir all the time when I was out there. Miss the easy access to fishing.

a 180 is a bit small for bass….unless you go with the smaller rarer bass like the Guadalupe bass, Coosa Bass, or chatahoochee. Would recommend a 96x24” foot print minimum.

These are my notes from my last 180 build:
02010180 AQE AQUARIUM BLACK 180 $695

02012312 AQE AQUARIUM BLACK 180

$765

02029180 AQE HOOD VERSA TOP 180 $70

02051192 AQE STAND PINE BLACK 24 X 72 $385

$1150 all in

$1220 w/overflows

My Aqueon 150g has been running 13 years so far no issues, and the seams still look excellent. back when I bought the tank new, i had to pay extra for black silicone, nowadays they make them with them without extra cost.

be careful of Marineland large tanks (tons of horror stories of their large tanks leaking - do a google search or youtube search).

The Aqueon tanks are better built IMO. (touches wood and runs to check 150g lol)

you can see part of the tank below.
