He isn't staying in tank long is he, cause everything about it is just wrong. Improper substrate, no elevated basking spot, its too small, etc. He will not even last a Month alive in that tank as is.

the basking spot is at 130,the substrateis temporary until i find something else (what do you suggest and i am trying to get a 20 long (dad) ) edit:why is am elevated basking spot necessary... i want to give this little guy the best care possible

From everything I have read, the basking spot doesn't need to be elevated, just between 110-130. I have read that alot of breeders use bird seed, the millet kind.

These guys seem pretty respected as Uro breeders.

Yeah, that is where I got mine as well. And while it doesn't need to be elevated, they appreciate it. As to millet seed, never used it, but many do since its both food and a substrate

Man I posted about my set-up but I guess it disappeared. But I use Excavator Clay for My guy since they like to burrow, and I have a large slab of stone elevated using bricks so that its both a hiding place and a basking area and he loves it.

How was the service from them? They seem pretty good, and I am debating getting a Uro from them. The little blue guy here is starting to clinch it for me
