Arapaima at LFS

Please post the vids or pic. As sad as it is I'm very interested to see the way the fish look.😕
I wish people would think of the fish more than themselves.

Now I know people on this site have like 10,000 gallon tanks and the fish thrives, but I think you all can agree with me when I say it is sheer animal cruelty to keep this fish in a house aquarium.

Yeah they should have been left in the wild where they belong but I think they are a heck of a lot happier in a 50k gallon tank than a 100 gallon.

These seem to the be the new "in" monster fish to buy...

Seen them for sale over here a few times lately as well... priced at around USD $100, so hopefully that will deter some of the people from buying it, although i have almost no doubt there aren't many (if any at all) private aquarists who could give them a tank that they need in this town...

Im not sure what size they require.. I think they give you a yes or no based on what you show them..

My lfs won't sell RTC to anyone without having a conversation with you first about your setup. But a RTC is a lot different than a 7 foot arapaima. The RTC can be kept in a home pond over 600 gallons. I'd like to see how quickly an arapaima outgrows a "monster" tank.
