Arapaima Pond Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just finished cutting and screwing in the last drain / skimmer.
Should be no problem, went in very smooth with silicone nicely and evenly 'squirting' out while fastening the screws.
Now waiting a bit and tomorrow nets go up.
Then Saturday move...

filling the pond some more now...about 5 cm to go to the skimmer-drain.
For sure the bottom-drains are working great, water really comes into the settling tank full force when I open the drains.
Also, cleaning out the bottom-drain at the side, opening the valve gives a big stream of water pushing its way out.
Works perfect so far...waiting for the water to come up to the skimmer.
Then check and level the back-wall and sides. Ready for the net to go around.

He's in...

Nerve wrecking job, but it all went smooth.
Cleaning around the pond now, then can start with other things...
Pictures later, but I can tell you Mr. T. is scouting out his new home with big eyes...
Looks like a happy camper in there...

Love reading this thread! You can learn a lot about pond building from your thread! Looking forward to seeing pics of Mr. T in his home!
