Will a 9-10" senegal eat a 2-3" arapaima if it is on pellets only?

My bad for the spelling if its incorrect.

2-3'' pima? that is just a newly hatched arapima, best to keep it alone for a while.

I dont have a pima. Someone asked me if the sen I was selling would eat them or not and I wasnt sure so I made this thread to see if it would or not.

Won't matter. A 2-3" arapaima away from the parents will soon be a dead one anyway. Parents are protective of the young, and secrete a 'milk' from glands in their heads that the young need to grow and develop properly (much like discus parents). The milk is key to developing the immune system as well as helping them grow.

That's a pretty cool fact, thanks.

2-3 inches is pretty small I might have to get one for an empty 20 gallon I have.
