he just got them recently.. should still have a few....
 
my lfs has one for 100 bux with papers. wish i had the tank for it. how long could i keep it in the 400gal b4 i needed to have a bigger home ready for it? i would of course plan ahead but jus wondering how long can i watch its growth b4 it needed the 5k gallon or larger.

figure it will grow 2 inches a month....

much less flexible than an aro......
 
And then the PITA of finding a home for a gigas at 3-4'
 
i think he'd be good up to about 2ft in the 400, so maybe around 2 years before i needed to have nice size setup for him? i wanna do a huge concrete block tank like u john but maybe on a scale of 2500 for just the 1 arapaima. or maybe 3k or 4k
