:WHOA: speechless at how amazing that beani is! If you ever have any fry from the pair to sell, I would most definitely take some off your hands! :) Did yours ever get bloat?

Which store in Calgary has beani & haits? Just curious .....

RD. its riverfront aquariums, checked it out for the first time today and was amazed at all the stock they had. if you have the space I reccomend going up there and having a look, there was one Beani in there that looked alot more colourful and developed than the other ones.

and wow Ruck Fules i swear if I could get that fish you have, but pay 10 dollars for it as a young one I would feel like a financial genius!
what do you keep yours with?

Beani aren't my cup of tea, I was just curious who had them. Thanks.

I had the biggest one in a divided tank with a haitiensis and Trimac. I had my big female divided with a male umbee and it triggered her to lay eggs. The "white" one, I grew out in a community tank and moved it to its own tank when it hit 5"

I think Oscars are a poor mans benie LOL. I am soooooooooo poor because I have an Oscar:ROFL: but no benie.:chillpill::chillpill:

interesting, I wanted to keep a single one on their own what would be the minimum tank size? I would be interested later down the line to set up a tank for one. much interesting than say a FH or RD, purely because I like to have fish that are uncommon and or rare.

I think price go hand in hand with size. A Beani should cost more than common lfs cichlids because you don't see them at many lfs. Even if they ever do, it's not on going like you can get them whenever you want because many lfs carry them all the time.
