he wouldnt need a 65g for a single beardie
a 40g or 55 is more than enough space
2 of my teachers keep theres in a 29g and theyve had theirs for years altho i wouldnt put him in anything smaller than a 40g
i got everything i needed besides the tank for about 100 bucks
a 40g tank will not cost more than 50 bucks last time i checked
and i dont think ur bearded can eat 100 crix a day
unless hes a super beardie
my baby beardie eats about 30 crix a day in 2 sittings and a few small peices of romaine in the morning
but if your concerned about crix u can get a box of a thousand online or at an expo for about 10 or 11 bucks
even cheaper at the expo ive seen a box of a thousand for about 8 bucks before
but on average 10 or 11 bucks online plus shipping

50 bucks for a 40 gallon WOW up here it's 180 for a 40
I need to move to the states so I can save money

ya i have have a 40 gallon. is it bad if its high and not very wide? its long but not very wide at all. its about 8" wide. is that good enough?

a 40g thats 8 inches wide?
u need a 40 breeder then
or a 55
55's arent as wide but give alot of length to move
thats what i put my beardeds in

Well, there are many varying views on this subject from starting with a small 20g breeder to buying/building the bigger tank and sectioning it into a smaller area for a young beardie. I personally having taken the buy a small tank then a large one now think that buying/building the adult size tank and sectioning it off is much better. I spent money on those tanks that I could have put towards more important things.

(some people don't even section them off, HOWEVER some young bearded dragons seem stressed in large environments)

could i put it in a 40 gallon for now??? cuz thats what i already have.... but i would get a bigger tank. i would save up to build one. ( good luck to a 13 yr old...... haha)
