Okay, I need to throw another question out to ya'll and I suppose I'll post it here because there is already some history on what kind and how large my poly is (she's currently around 9 in.)
I went to the pet store and picked up this gem of a pleco, it's a hi-fin green phantom almost full grown, so say around 5 inches. Problem I am having is that my female red terror is showing just a tad too much interest in him and he's got some fin damage.. I have a solution in the mix, converting my current 20 gallon community tank into a 45 gallon community tank. But that won't be done for about two weeks due to my work schedule.
So finally, my question. Would my little pleco be alright with Stig my 9 in. teug? She has always had her whole tank to herself after my Delhezi died a while back. Is she likely to be aggressive to this pleco i\f I put it in there with her? Or should I just wait it out in the current set up until I can get the 45 gallon community tank up and running? Any and all thoughts/advice are welcome and greatly appreciated!

Some cases of Pleco's sucking the slime coat of Polypterus . I also have read that some have had success with the two species but observe everyday if you decide to put the Pleco in.

Hit or miss with plecos and polys. Keep well fed and like tlindsey tlindsey menioned gotta keep watch.

I have 2 plecos with my polys and they don't pay attention to each other in either direction.

Common plecos are the ones notorious for slime coat sucking. Just look for any weird spots on the Teug. I think it'll likely be fine though.
