I've heard guppies are super easy to breed, from what I heard just put a bunch in a "tank" (or large jar/container) and let them do their work, is this true though? Do they need live foods like some other fish? do they need a heater and filter? can I really just have a bunch of guppies in there and let them breed? I'm considering breeding some for my axolotls to use as feeder fish

Keep the temp above 70 degrees and they'll breed readily, filters are optional for them if you do frequent water changes, they don't need special foods, just about any fish food will be accepted, mine never ate their young, and were very hardy, keep the best looking fry and feed all others to the axolotls.
For best results get your breeders from a few different sources

Yes very easy but make sure you quarantine them.

Ok thanks, I don't plan on breeding fancy ones because they cost a lot of money and I don't have much to do with them (no pet stores nearby would pay me for them), I just plan on using them as feeders, I was just going to get 6-12 feeders and have them breed so I get disease free feeders

yeah that's why I was going to breed them, but I don't really plan on breeding them to look super good unless I can some how let my mom allow me to do that, but if she does then I have to do it in very small quantities, I'm talking breed them in tupperware containers, would that be ok?

Yes but still do consistent wc's and the guppies will be fine. Also would suggest adding some plastic plants so tiny fry can have a place to hide.

Ok, I doubt any pet stores nearby would give me money for them though, I could check but I doubt it, so I have no real reason to breed fancy ones, if I do go and try to breed fancy ones would there be ones that don't look fancy? or if I breed fancy guppies are they always going to be fancy

Any time I bred fancies , most fry would look normal

No they will continue to be Fancy but to much inbreeding will result in sickly and deformed fry. Don't try to make money from them just feed to the Axolotl.
