because adding meds to a tank with out a disease can actually cause more harm than what it was meant to fix.

Maybe try an epsom salt treatment 0.1% strengh, this will purge aro and help him regain equalibrium. 30% water change first slowly add salt over one day, treat for 3 days, then do 30% water change and add salt to the changed amount. 3 more days then 30 % water change every other day to remove salt. Keep feeding to minimum.

Boydo;2924691; said:Yes.....Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt). Without seeing the fish in person diagnosing is very hard....this sound like a swim bladder disorder caused by diet. I don't want you putting anything in your tank unless you feel it is necessary. Aros are very hardy and in most cases good water and diet is all that is needed, however sometimes help is required. This is the treatment I would use on my aros........I am only suggesting to help.![]()
