Are jars OK with rays

Fish being fish. Is that too hard to understand? Simplify thing, instead of over think thing.

So you basically go by the "only the strong survive" saying when it comes to fish keeping? I've seen your fish and have a lot of respect for you as far as fishkeeping is concerned. i''m just trying to learn

But what would be the fish keepers mistake? Not Housing the Jardini with other fish to begin with? It still leaves you with a "killer" because he can't be with other fish.

It's general, not just when it comes to fish keeping.
Recently, I moved eight 10"-12" GATF and two 12" VATF into my bichir tank that already had two 14" GATF in there. What do you think the outcome was?

Sometimes, fish keeper is too quick to blame the fish survived, instead of the dead one. You go poke a bear, you'll get mauled, or if you're lucky, you'll get a bear hug. If you get a dog to be your child's pet. Your child pull the dog tail. The dog bite your child. Whose fault? The dog? Your child? You? Your neighbor? Your parents/sibling/relative?

Why? Is it because they're killers? :D

I would say they were establishing dominance but in the case of a Jardini, i've watched them attack a very peaceful fish (catfish) for no apparent reason and completely unprovoked. How can I blame the catfish that was just sitting on the bottom doing nothing?

You're right about the two 14" GATF being established, since they were in that tank long before I moved the bichir in with them. However, they were not being dominance, especially since the day I moved the other 10 ATF in that tank

As for why the Jardini attack the catfish, maybe the catfish is not that innocent. Maybe the catfish is quite annoying, poking the Jardini with its whiskers, or just waving them in front of the Jardini. Maybe the catfish talking trash to the Jardini. Maybe the Jardini asked the catfish to clean the floor, and the catfish just sitting and doing nothing... There are a lot of maybe :D
