Are oscars like marmite? u either love or hate

i have a love hate relationship with oscars. i love my tiger but he hates me lol have been bit twice cleaning his tank

like someone mentioned oscars are the cornerstone of the sa/ca cichlid keeping hobby, its what got me into it and still have mine three years on and counting....

They were some of the first fish I had over 20 yrs ago, but wouldnt have them again. Too much of a PIA cleaning the sand of their enormous waste.

In Miami, we'd use the cast net to catch them buy the bunch and use them for bait for cichla. They were good for that.

I like them. But, I don't love them.
