JasonsPlecosCichlids JasonsPlecosCichlids , thanks so much! Sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner.

Yes, I am quite serious although I am 16 h away.

Sorry, I know you have been pestered about these fish for years. I don't see the fish on his website.

Should I call / email / text Jon directly with questions and to arrange a potential pick up? I've been calling the number from the website you linked (937) 297-0515 but getting a busy signal.

If I am going there, I will need the trip to be justified and will pick up whatever he lets go of for free.

I'll continue trying to talk with Jon by phone, unless you advise me of something else.

You know how it is when you post fish for sale or for free, a million questions are asked or they say they want them but never show up :) I just texted him to see if its ok for me to give you his personal number. Are you wanting all of the Paroons? What about the Red tails and Pacu? Remember they are free so you can have as many as you wish :) One Paroon is spoken for a tomorrow pickup.

Just sent you a pm with his number

Thanks, MasterB. You're the best. Yes, I'd like to get whatever he wants to let go of for free and see if this justifies such a long trip. I think it does but need to be dead sure before putting it on my daily planner.

I don't see why it it should bother you if people want to post questions and don't end up getting the fish. It's not like they are your fish and you are counting on a sale.

Because I'm doing all the work. When something is FREE, you got room for it, you always wanted one and this is your chance, you take it, especially when a good description is there and you post that you want one, etc. Same goes for sale ads, nobody likes their time wasted, including me. I'm trying to help others for free fish, many times I have been asked to meet up for these paroons, go get videos or photos which Dayton is 1 hour way, pm this person and email that person, etc. I do all that and nothing comes of it. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever helping folks out but when they flake on you constantly it becomes a problem, its not just on here, its on FB and CL as well. That's why I gave out all the info above and so far so good, I found two folks that want these fish. While I'm not making a dime off of these he hooks me up with discounts off his other fish for years now, so he helps me, I help him. :)

You are doing the "work" because you want to,it's great that you gave out the information about the paroons but at the end of it all people make up their own minds whether the fish are free, cheap or whatever....as for someone flaking out on meeting you,I dont see why they had to meet you in order to get the fish but that's not a good thing if they stood you up...that's between you and that individual though....anyhow I hope TBTB is able to go and pick up the sharks and the others. They should do well in his care.

I feel where Jason is coming from. Spending hours of your time taking pictures videos and measurements of things just to have someone at the end of it saying "sorry not what I'm looking for" is probably one of the most annoying thing there is. Why even contact the person if you're not interested when the description is there with everything you need to know. I feel for this guy, it just becomes a huge waste of your time

and I mean the fact he is doing this all for someone else and they are free means all he should have to do is get you in contact with the seller

Exactly. I offered to pick two of them up for a guy in TN, since I was at Gerbers often we made arrangements. I headed on up to Gerbers, look around waiting for someone to get the Paroons for me and guy texts back and says he can't house them, something came up. I was going to meet the guy in Lexington since its about 45 min south of me, not counting the hour drive north and then back to my place plus an extra 45 mins, so thats what sucks about it all. But what can ya do....

That is an awful lot to do for someone, most people would just inform others of where to get the fish and leave it at that.I gotta hand it to ya,you have made quite a project of getting those fish out of that shop.
