i just pulled two rocks off of the bank of a nearby lake. what do i have to do to make them safe for my fish?

Also pour vinegar on them. If they fizz (calciferous) do not use. If nothing happens, use.

Spizz is on it:)

Just out of curiosity, what lake did you get them from?

Yep, any acid works for the rocks. It might help if you scratch the rock a little bit to make sure the minerals in it are exposed to truly see if it fizzes

it does not fizzle when vinegar is put on it. so now just boil it?

rallysman, it is a lake off of 300 and fortville pike. not sure what its called. pretty big though. collected some d-wood too.

this is also a 25 pound rock probably. thats pretty heavy. i have a shallow sand bed. is this a terrible idea or what?
