Are these Silver sides ok

Jaws I HIGHLY recommend being careful feeding those from the bait section. As stated above they are preserved in salts/oils/possibly synthetic preservatives in order to keep them in the bag like that outside of a freezer for extended periods of time generally. That may not be the case but I would definitely check into it before feeding too many.

Being an avid fisherman I see a lot of these baits used and almost every baitfish I've seen in a bag meant for angling has been preserved in salt brine or oil. My walmart carries green shiners on the rack in a bag...unfrozen lol so you know whatever they are doused in kills everything.

Man its not worth the risk. I'll just get the silversides meant for aquarium use.

Can i use these as bait in freshwater fishing ? Like trout and stuff. Bunch of lakes amd fishing holes near me. Son loves fishing i could care less hahah.

Where we used to live there was a small lake we'd go to and use pizza dough as bait and catch catfish. Where we live now theres "real" fishing lol and i have ni clue what im doing

Another alternative would be smelt. Pretty cheap for me in central Florida.

well...I mean you might have to put some work into rigging it up so it makes a good swimbait lol but ya some will take dead suspended baitfish too.

So true and awesome quote.
We've been fishing since he was 2 or 3 but like i said real basic stuff. He likes the normal super here stuff but his real heros are nigel marvin and especially jeremy wade. His fav episode is the tiger muskie one where jeremy almost gave up lol.

Shown this a bunch of times but as an mfk father is a crowning achievement lol he just turned 3 at the time.
