Yeah they are 7500 miles away. If I go back there anytime soon or hear of someone coming from there to LA I will ask them to pickup the fish and
put them into checked baggage and file the documents online with
Fish and Wildlife for inspection at port of entry. Problem is its very cold there
now and also its fairly complicated to transport live fish so not everyone would be up for it. They are legal to bring into US, but if the airline scans the
checked bags and refuses to accept it or of for some reason foreign customs
gets involved then you would have to have someone to take them back somewhere. Not exactly a simple procedure.

I say its a bleached aro...id never risk $500 for a "platinum" silver aro. Rather go get another ray with $500.
 
when silvers mature they turn white. arowanas are known to live to 60 years old
