Are we cruel!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It depends on who is keeping them.
I know some people that keep full grown oscars (5) in a 29 gallon tank and that is cruel.
But I also know of some that keep you know like 10 Tetras in a 10 which is very uncreul
I personally think I am not cruel.
Yes currently I own an aro, and a BGK in a 55. But neither of them are even at 7" and my plan is to sell them. Have a buyer already but wants the fish larger.
Now if the aro and BGK were full grown yes I would be a very cruel person but they are not even 7"

There are always two sides to every story.
If i thought it was cruel i wouldnt do it.
Do i make mistakes, yes.
Do i strive to make up for them, most definately, often by breeding something to give others joy from it.
If me keeping fish gives others a reason to stop red tail black sharks, or any other fish becoming extinct, then i am doing the right thing.
But, if because of what i do causes them to become endangered, id like to think i would change my ways and not keep the fish i do, but the sad reality is that i know deep down inside me that i wouldnt_because i want that fish no one else has.
I will always keep fish, big ones too.
I think the real question is not is it cruel, but how do YOU justify it to YOURSELF.

Do you own a dog, a cat, a budgie, a horse, a rat, a rabbitt.................
