Yep, I've seen a guy got a chunk taken out of his arm by momma channa. From what I was told, the guy was spearfishing for this species underwater, and decided to aim for the "luk krok".
Theres a reason that people catch this species with rod and line instead. Although it was funny to see a guy's cast net ripped up. Not just by a Channa, but also by 2 Clarias gariepinus/macrocephalus. Oh well, the stories of this fish will never end, although ive seen one in a lake that was definately over 5 ft.
