I think those who live on their own little private islands will have the easiest time of it.They are isolated and can fend off would be intruders while they feed from the land. That is untill the ammo runs out.

Yeah, being more isolated is to your advantage for sure. Less people to fight with over limited resources. I live on the edge of a city with a million people, Im screwed once they start leaving the city!

Yikes...get you a "vacation home" out in the country lol :)

Have you tried out your new drum yet?

I found a book in my grandmothers basement from the goverment on how to build your own nuclear fallout shelter. It's funny but really scarry when you think about it.

At one time, the govt advised people to build them.
Think of how many of those that were built for no purpose. Although I secretly would love to have one. It would be like my own little fort in the back yard.

:)

this is a differn't book I found on google mine is actually from the US govt.

I chase deer out of my yard on a daily basis and I know how to set a wire snare, so I'm sure I could eat. I also hunt mushrooms, fish, et cetera.

Living without electricity and gas would be rough - I'd go crazy without MFK...

When I was 14-15 we would go around on 4 wheelers looking for abandoned buildings. We found an old house that had a bomb shelter. It was one of the coolest things to see, but yes, it was very scary to think about. It took 3 of us to slide the metal lid open. Once we got it open the inside of it looked like it had never been touched. The stairs going down into it were collapsible to make more room once the people were inside. It was nuts.
