Are you serious???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my reasoning is of course based on my belief that many people on MFK are not simply iliterate, but just dont want to spend time typing every letter of of every word...

I can still get my point across with using "no" instead of "know"

I have abbreviated, of course. I have no problem with it as long as I can still understand the point of the post. My point is that with some, not many, you can't. Believe me, I know all about being busy. I work three jobs. Like I said, I'm not mad about anything I was just curious to see how others felt about the subject. I'm not trying to solve any problems here, just making convo. (There, I abbreviated)

BTW, you still misspelled "mispelled" ; )

Sometimes misspellings do get ridiculous, but for the most part I don't mind them.

It's really only the ridiculous ones that I was referring to.

He was taking a stab at Gr8 for using 'their' when he should have used "they're"......And only veiled it with the 12 year old comment...lol....Some of us can keep up ;)........

There is a difference in improper word usage and horrible grammar. Just skimming through this thread, I notice a lot of references to ESL (English as Second Language) situations, but in all reality, a non-English speakers grammar is usually better than the horrible spelling of natural English speakers. I would much rather read a post with wrong words than with blatant disregard for spelling.
I went to private schools most of my life in Canada where 2 languages were mandatory in all subjects. I would have been looked down upon by my parents if I couldn't properly speak or spell. Enough coddling.

Just something I've noticed here on MFK: there are a lot of members that have absolutely horrible language. For the most part, it's not that big of a deal. Some of these posts, however, are almost impossible to read because of poor choice of words! I know that it's not a requirement to have a formal education to be a member of MFK, but for crying out loud! Are you serious?

I mean, seriously, why should anybody have to cuss on MFK! Honestly, if you wanna have a dirty mouth, go to some other site.
