People make mistakes. That's why pencils have erasers.

Ah, so the proof readers have to make sure their grammar is ok. We don't because someone will make sure we look good. Makes more sense now. I don't have proof readers or anyone above me who makes sure I don't look like a douchebag. I am the top guy. I am the one that companies look to for class and professionalism. Maybe that's the problem. Followers vs. leaders. Those who choose to excel and show excellence versus those who figure someone else will pick up the pieces.
Can't remember the last time I used a pencil. Maybe 9th grade Algebra?

EDIT: I also need to add that the backspace on your keyboard is just like a pencil eraser, yet we are too lazy to use it? Oh, that whole saving time thing again, right?

Absolutely, it's just a shame that our educational system can't get these kids the education they need. Can you imagine how hard it would be to get a good job when you can't even spell simple words in order to complete a job application or resume?

Are you kidding some schools it is blocked. Remember as a teacher anything you do can be put in a folder when they want to fire you. They monitor our internet usage. They will report you. They are more strict on teachers than students. They pay teachers.

WELL, I'm gonna have to say I agree with the OP on this issue. I find it very annoying when people on here write posts in their text message talk crap. I don' think spelling and punctuation is that important, as this is sort of a relaxed atmosphere. But this whole cell phone gibberish is immature.

When people talked like that on other forums I've been on, they get flamed. I guess it depends on the age of the people involved too. The other forums deal with guns and more expensive cars so younger folk really don't spend too much time on there.

But here, its a hobby for all ages. And I think that times are changing and generations are very different. I'm 25 and I feel old when I look at the way kids are these days. Also, the quality of education in public schools has really gone down the drain. And I'm not blaming the education system, I'm blaming the lazy youth of today.

SO, yes, I think its annoying when somebody posts like if they were texting their buddies. I either skip over the post or ignore that person's thread completely until they learn how to communicate like an ADULT!!!!

I'm not concerned with the mildly grammatically incorrect that is posted from day to day. Your posts are fine. There is no need for perfection. I never said there was. But, we could certainly do better than this.

Yea I can't stand it when people can't string together a coherent sentence.

Its one thing to make an error but its another to consistently not use the rules of the english language.

If it is the case that kids these days aren't using grammar correctly, they are going to be in trouble when they get to college/the real world and they need to write a report or something.
