Ah hahahaha!!! Really though, you don't need to be going around pointing out other peoples faults, bad grammar, or tacky spelling. All it does is makes you look trashy and snobbish.

Besides, don't be too quick to judge. Just because someone can't spell every word correctly or spells things differently, doesn't mean they don't know crap. One of the smartest people I have ever met couldn't even sign his own name. All he did was put an X on the signature line. I still look up to that man though cuz he had such an overwhelming wealth of knowledge that it was crazy.

Most of us are with you P_P......I couldn't care less about someones spelling....WHAT does make me mad...Is when people say "I could care less" when they mean "Couldn't".....:nilly: Every time I throw my PC through something....:ROFL::grinno:

Well, PP I would agree with you for the most part. I would never make fun of, or ridicule someone for their poor grammar or spelling. I didn't point out any specific members. I just made an observation and thought it would be a good subject to talk about for the lounge.

I just find it both amazing and disheartening at the same time. As a US citizen, I am proud to be a part of this great country. I just wish that we didn't have to fall short on the fundamentals in subjects like English, math, and so on. We've come so far, and yet we see our youth, at times, unable to communicate through written word. True, some brilliant minds have difficulty with a simple sentence but it is far too common. I notice it everywhere, certainly not just here on MFK. It's just kind of sad when a young Chinese member (actually from China) can put together a more legible sentence than someone from the states.

But, like I said, this thread wasn't meant to put anyone down, just to discuss an observance.

Hawk you are going comma crazy...lmao....JJK bro...This is a good thread...We all had a shot at this and took it too.....I am the opposition, but I have to say, I enjoyed this debate :)

Ok, last one from me. I just had to post this because it rings true about dealing with people in the professional world. In short, I got a resume today for a company that did some work for me in 06'. They were unprofessional and never used again. In response to their request for work, I replied...
"You were blacklisted by our company in early November of 06' due to failure to handle assignments in an appropriate manner. You successfully handled 3 assignments for this office and then blatantly ignored all phone calls, emails, faxes, and status requests for the next 3 assignments. You made no attempt to resolve the files, contact the vehicle owners, or even recommend reassignment.
I hope you find better luck with IA's you did not leave such a bad impression with."

I just got a response from them. Tell me if you'd use them.
"thank you rob but since then and now we at ****'s have worked very hard to correct all the problems we had back then as of to date we hold to a high response and turn around time with heavy statusing NO HARD FILLING AND THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT USE ONCE MORE"

Since you asked, It is proper in English to spell out numbers under three digits. Please work on this.

Thank you, Mike

I don't think this was intended to point out certain people or their faults. It was, I believe, an attempt to make communication a little easier. There is a member here who I deeply respect for his knowledge and ability to build things I would not even attempt. Over and over I see his ponds, custom tanks, and general posts filled with knowledge I don't have, all the while with HORRIBLE spelling. I always read his posts and never second guess his experience, because he can convey his thoughts regardless of spelling error. On the other hand, I read through posts from other members that use some alternative form of language that resembles English.
