Peep the link I posted in this thread of DBs grow out thread of the brassy he got from wes plenty of pics there ;). Also Note their head isn't "HUGE", Wes markets them as "bigheads" like I've been quotation in marking them most of the time in this thread since they have a larger and rounder head than the fransiscanus. As far as I know the only pics of a Juvie brassy dorado are on mfk. Also by looking at game fishing pics online when they're very large I couldn't tell a diff in size of heads from frankies to brassies...

Yes, they have a more stocky build I believe. And any update? How's the little guy doing? Any signs if aggression yet? Wish you luck. Why is it that they're so rare, the brassies that is. Export laws?

Idk about a stockier build haven't really seen them side by side. DB can say for sure but I haven't seen them side by side in person. I believe export laws and there was a quota a couple years ago I believe... Idk forsure. Frankie's are farmed in large quantities in Brazil so they're pretty common.

The little guy is doing great not aggressive in the least and looking good. I'll post up some pics soon.

I'm glad to have generated so much discussion and interest. Everyone's input is greatly appreciated dorados are definitely one of the coolest fish to keep

Lol don't we all. One day maybe they'll be more common, and I meant the head sorry for the lack of clarification there lol. And maybe he'll chime in. Waiting for an update from him as well. Always look forward to reading his experience. And that's a good start, hopefully it stays that way and DR's Robert wasn't an exception.
