Arghh DONT USE THE HOSE!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I purchased a water bed refill kit and was going to use that and a hose to make my own water python. I've heard of many people doing the same, crossing my fingers. Sorry Ash

I heard that they also use Mercury in the lining, as to why I have no idea. I think you guys are right though it's probably fungicide.

I got the water temp to around 80, dechlored, and sat down to watch Oprah (screw you for judging me!).

Hey, Oprah isn't a bad show I'll watch the shows with doctor oz or any of the more interesting social, politcal, sciency shows.

Just b\c u used your hose water dosent mean it is the hoses fault. There are many other possibilities ( but the fresh water\bad water from the hose probably helped).I dont know enough to diognose tho.
Sorry 4 ur losses:(

I fill my tanks with a garden hose hooked to my bathroom sink. Been doing it for years. Never had a problem.

I think the problem is that you used only cold water (vs. warm water) and shocked them.

How about people post the brands / names / pictures of the garden hoses that they have successfully and unsuccessfully used. Maybe we can identify the mysterious deadly garden hose...

i use hose water, but i use my clarifier and add warm water to it before the fish, bc hose water isn't heated

sorry for all the losses =[
