State of chaos
rant beginning:
I had a heated discussion with my mom on friday about when i can get the 29g.
she said graduation.
WHAT THE...!!!!!!:irked:
and only if i have an 83%+ average. seems easy but ive had some issues with school. bear with me.
now this is ridiculous. for those who dont know, my stock:
5g:
2 female Western Mosquitofish
Olive Nerita Snail
5.5g:
5 White Clouds
Ottocinclus
BYthinia Snail
Ghost Shrimp
Tupperware Containers:
fry
Im gonna need another 5g soon to put male Mosquitofish fry in so they dont keep spawning.
And thats it.
Im not asking for another House Of Sam here. Its a freakin 29 gallon tank!
i have it completely planned out in my room. im almost finished with stocklist. i can EASILY afford all the stuff too.
so what gives?
a major thing here is...
honestly mre and my fish thing have trouble "fitting in" as some people say.
now ive never been one to worry about what people think, but i found MFK where everyone is into fish as much as I am, yet Im still the "outsider."
I even showed the thread a while back about the Stocklists from people around the same age as me to my mom and she said it was interesting but had no influence on her.
my parents also turned it into a reward type deal WAAAY after i got my first tank. so as soon as i fount something i loved, WHAM its gone.
:wall:
rant over:irked:

i only got 2 10 gals. 1 with 2 jag fry, 2 dwarf puffers, 1 pleco and a angle fish
there all small and dont fight...yet... my other 10 gal has a sandfish skink in it. i am trying to get a job at mc donalds lol to buy a 55 gal and maby a 38gal. when i get a job. i will havve so many tanks:)

Obviously, your parents want you to focus on your school work and are afraid that distractions will prevent you from getting the best possible start in life. It's what all good parents worry about. :)

i agree. it will pay off when you get into a good college and get a good job. then you will have good salary and will be able to buy fishtanks to your heart's content.

Do what i do..

Just buy the tank and take it home, set it up.. Or you could do that on ur Mom's birthday...and say i bought you a gift..lol

You still live with your parents, what they say goes.

Tell me, do you pay rent, have to pay for breakfast/lunch/dinner, buy your clothes, make sure they are clean, do you do all of the housework?
When you're ill, who takes care of you?

I live with my parents, and I am trying to find new homes for a few of my guys until I'm down to one tank for the frogs, and one for fish so my parents have more room to do what they want with their house.
And they only let me have these animals because I am homeschooled and am not exactly overflowing with friends.
I completely understand being the oddity with other humans... LOL

Cut them a break, when they're old and you're changing their diapers, THEN you can do what you want.
