Aripima Gigas size

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't like snakes. they don't bother me, but I don't care for them.

I do believe you missed the point. Anacondas were reputed to commonly reach 30 or more feet, while actuality the largest max at a bit over 20'.

8-9 feet is actually the common wild size these days. Before back then they grew to 12-14 feet. Overfishing of the bigger ones caused them to disappear and with the smaller one left in the wild and breed. The offspring also a carries the gene of the parents that are 8-9 feet or smaller, thus the size of them being an adult is also small.

Captive size is around 5-6 feet. Sometimes bigger.
i agree with this guy :)

Thanks. Hao, that list we have with the aros, a house and that stuff. add a back yard so I can dig a big pond for one of those.

"Back then" before legitimate records lol. Same thing as another Amazon giant, the Green anaconda.

There actually still some 10-12 feet arapiama that can still be fish put in Thailand, but most are around 7-9 feet. Not sure about in there native habitat as I've never been there.

Interesting Earl :)

Any fish should get as big in a display as it does in the wild. If it doesn't, you're doing it wrong. It's that simple.
