Armatus and Aimara update

So are armatus best for a species only tank? From what i've gathered above they are.. But most people seem to keep them with a community of other species.
It would be fair to say that every fish, not just Armatus, would be best for a species tank only. Even if you put fancy goldfish with angel fish, there is stress and disease threat present among them. You may not notice it, but it doesn't mean it does not exist

And basically no one manages to keep them long-term. If one imagines how they live in the wild, solitary, in open waters, it's not that hard to guess that they may be stressed by the presence of a bunch of tank mates...just my two cents.

Do you realize that Armatus is still new fish to the hobby, compare to some other species? We fish keepers still learn about this specie. How did you come up with the idea that Armatus lives solitary in the open water? Imagine something like that would be as same as imagine of riding a unicorn over the rainbow!

Ehm, how about no?
How I come to that conclusion is rather simple: they are large predatory fish, how many of those school? They're silvery, the only place that offers any good camouflage is in open waters.
