Ok guys, we've all been preaching for a long time now that when mixing an army and any type of ATF, the ATF needs to be quite a bit larger than the ATF for the match to be a success. Max is now a foot long. I'm wondering if he's big enough that I can safely get away with the army not catching up or taking a very long time to catch up. I figure I'll get an armatus about 5" and have to have him in a growout for a little while, I have a growout running and I'm fine with that. I understand that armies slow down quite a bit after a foot in length, but the specific questions that I have are as follows:
Is Max large enough that he will be able to hold a size parity or a size advantage with the armatus, or will the armatus quickly pass him up? In the next year, Max will at absolute most be 18" and likely significantly less. Will the army grow fast enough after hitting a foot to outpace that 6" a year figure of the GATF?
If Max doesn't have enough of a size advantage, what do you armatus guys feel would be the ideal size to wait for for Max to be able to maintain size parity or an advantage?
Armatus has always been on my to do list, I just want to do it right.
