(Sorry about the poor quality - took it with my phone).

He's now got:
- 9 x Silver Sharks
- 8 x Iridescent Shark
- 2 x unknown fishes (See next pic)
- 3 x Golden Tin Foil Barbs (leftover)
- 1 x Golden Shark (leftover)

Would be great is someone could ID this fish I got too:

proly cuz he knows wats good for him lol barbs are in the same family as goldfish right? cyprinids i think. they contain thiaminase which inhibits vitamin b absorption. is there any native fish of size that you can just catch and quarantine for like a few weeks?

I've just read that all fishes in the Cyprinidae family contain Thiaminase.
In my usual list of feeders that means - Tin Foil Barbs, Red-finned Cigar Shark, and SILVER SHARKS > Which had always seemed to have been his favourite, and is starting to really worry me now.

The other fishes I've got in there are the small Pacu, Green Terror Cichlids and Iridescent Sharks. I couldn't find these as listed to have Thiaminase.

Does anyone know of other fishes that haven't got Thiaminase?

hey daimion, I'm facing the same problem. I'm planning on switching to weather loaches as feeders. Do the wet markets in Singapore sell these? They're really cheap!

Also, baby pacu's are a real good option if u can get you're hands on some of them for a good price.

Yeah, I probably should stock up on Pacus cos there's a shop who's having a special on them now. Will head down there this weekend. Am also gonna start taking notes on all the fishes they've got up for sale, and come back home to research what's safe. :D

I'm not sure if wet markets would be a good place to get feeders though. They would have fishes that were caught in the wild, so they might have a parasite or be sick?

feeders from the wet markets can carry parasites, but if u have a q tank, not a problem really...
