Armatus - Live Food Choices (Need advice)

1-WEEK UPDATE:

Current Fish Count:
2 x Iridescent Sharks
3 x Green Terror Cichlids.

Think it's pretty obvious he isn't keen on the Cichlids. He's gone through 6 of the Iridescent Sharks, all 4 Silver Dollars, and finished both the Pacu and the Tin Foil Barb.

Now comes the tough decision. Should I not get new feeders tomorrow, forcing him to have a go at the Cichlids?

Unless you can get out the cichlids, and have somewhere else to put them, just get him to eat em. Seems like he's going for the shiny fish.

Yeah, I think I'll put my trip down to the fish farm till Sunday. See if he eats the Cichlids today and tomorrow.
Haven't got anywhere else to put them for now. The only other tanks is housing a GATF now, and he isn't big enough to take them on yet.

I think they get around 8 inches, though I'm not too sure about cichlids...

Woke up this morning, and I'm down 1 Cichlid. He's also had a go at the last 2 sharks.

Maybe he avoids the cichlids cos they're bony and spiny-finned?

Guess I will make the trip to the fish farm today then.

happy to hear that he ate the cichlids in the amazon, payara and cichlids deffinetly coexist so the cichlids would be a good food for bubbles. that and the pacus and silver dollars. any way good job and good luck!!!

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind when I got those. I just got back from the fish farm. Here's a few more picture updates:

BEFORE the feeder run. Tank almost empty except for the 2 GT-Cichlids

AFTER the feeder run. Got about 15 Silver Dollars, and 4 Gouramis. (Just to add some colour I guess)

Just to share an extra, I got feeders for Cuddles too - 100 x Emperor Tetras

LOL I see you don't enjoy buying feeder species either. I tried buying non-feeder species, but I just can't afford it.
