yes.most that i have seen do.

if he knew what you mean by "colouration, body structure and tail size" i'm sure he wouldn't have asked. im sure we'd all like to know what you mean

tats look less robust than armatus.
like smallerish body etc.
armatus mouth is less upward facing.
tail is smaller than an armatus of the same size.

Buddy your fish is a tat. Ive kept all three species of Hydros and like alot of people here that have kept them are saying, it is a tat.

The jaw is upturned too sharply, the body is too small, tail too small, adipose matches the caudal, so on and so on.

Here is my baby armatus at 4". See how much beefier he is and how the adipose and caudal fin contrast with each other?

BTW - If you picked this guy up at Rainbow Pets, non of the Payaras they have are Armatus.

i posted that on the thread earlier shame yr armatus didn't like yr bass.

tat's are pretty awesome too dude. don't be disheartened! it takes lots of determination to get an armatus(well last yr or so anyways)...or a hideous load of luck
