the arowana seems to be super sensitive now a days. it was never like that back then. now hes about 7 inches long, the only difference is that now hes alone in the tank and he used to have 1 other tankmate. S/he gets scared easily whenever someone walks near the tank or if it sees a shadow. It used to never be afraid of me, now its always zooming left and right and sometimes even hitting the glass, im afriad that its gona have a heart attack and jump out of the tank... i had him for 1.5 years now. I hope all is well, doesnt anyone know how i can calm him down?? lol give it sum bud to eat? jk!!

yeah man, couch lock and pizza might work.
nah no need to sedate him..dont worry about it. he will settle, try make slow movements and no loud abrupt noises.

it happens. Mostly when they feel cornerd in a tight space. How big is your tank? Hvave you done some work in the tank?

Leave it be, avoid stressing it.

But think on the tank size issue, please.....

i have it in a 55gal, u think its the size of the tank? cuz i have this silver aro thats like a lot younger and longer than the one thats in the 55gal. and hes not even spazzing out like the other one yet..

mine is about 15" and he's been doing this a lot lately at night. it sounds like a tsunami in my tank and he hits the glass lids. ive had him for a long time and i dont know why all of the sudden he's started doing this. i may have to get a "night light" for the tank. its a 210g btw

Floating plants might help him as well...

youve had him for a year and a half and hes only 7 inchess... wow thats seems really small you neeed a bigger tank your stunting his growth

That doesn't sound right either...I seen them go over 12" in a 55gal growout...Meilings comes to mind first off....

yeah i just saw that part about 1.5 years. there something wrong there. ive had mine for about 7 months, got him at about 7" and he's more than doubled in size
