Again I really appreciate everyones input. But just to be sure can I get one more opinion? LOL. Thanks again everyone.

Why? You got a half dozen people telling you it's a silver. Have you done some research to make you think otherwise or just hoping you found some super rare ultra expensive arowana for dirt cheap?

definitely a silver aro, the healthier they are the more their red scales pop, mine has only been silver when i first put it in my tank

You obviously must not understand what LOL stands for. I care less what the fish costs me if it is a 2 dollar guppy for my wifes tank or a 400 dollar stingray. Why is it with some people that they automatically jump to that conclusion. If you read all of my posts you would understand why I asked in the first place. So go figure everyone that answered first and jamminMN were the most helpful. A guy with over 14000 posts the most useless.

Providing you with an informative post would've been as helpful as throwing a life preserver to someone in a dry swimming pool. Ain't gonna do any good, there's no water, your not drowning. So why waste the effort?

I had the same question when I got my first silver about a month ago. I've seen juvies with a little color, never like the one I bought. Lots of blue on the body and orange on the fins. Actually looks pretty close to yours. So, not that you don't already know, but you've got yourself a healthy silver there. What are you feeding that lil guy? (just curious) Mine is eating frozen scallops, frozen shrimp, talapia, and he's acquired an affinity for the flakes that I've been feeding his tankmates! LOL

Thanks for the kind words oneyed fish. I just picked up the aro on Sunday, my first one. Some guy dropped it off with a gar that outgrew his tank. The lfs had them both in a tank with a pleco that was around their size. The Pleco was picking at them so I figured why not get them both and save them the harassment. I have the room just needed to bounce around a few fish. And no the gar and aro are not in the same tank. As of right now the aro is just starting to eat some krill. I have been trying everything I can to get him to eat and that is what he wants right now.
Oh and by the way bderick67 thanks for help (NOT). I thought this site was geared towards helping people out? Nothing you have said has been informative at all, and I will leave it at that.
