why do people seem to think that anyone in the know should automatically just answer unasked questions? after you do research then ask some educated questions you shalt receive some educated answers. brian is one of the "in the know people" like myself. after raising aros for several years as well as other fishes we can answer many questions. most could be answered by reading the stickies. those threads are there to help you then after that you can ask some good questions.

there's a silver arow at my lfs, actually the same one i bought mine at, that has this weird pink hue to it. i asked one guy who works there what the deal was and he said it was just sick and dying (i didn't know they would change colors like that in bad health), but then a few days later another employee told me it was some kind of injection deal to make it look red (which sounds really shady). anyone encounter this before?

Nice silver aro.
Silver aros do get those colours when young but seems like they lose it at an older age.
All 5 of my dads silver aro got that colour too.
Enjoy while they are still there. =P

Yes there are strawberry(pink) and blueberry arowana. They are dyed silver arowana and yes they are sick and unhealthy fish. If morons would quit buying dyed fish then they would no longer exist in the industry. But then again, seems very few people actually do any research before buying a fish, sad :duh:
