aro in a 100 gal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah but once i get the other 100 i wont be getting another tank for a long time. so i need something that can live in there for life

hey good job man :), i wouldnt be able to stop myself on getting an aro haha, but yah i think u should maybe get a dwarf snakehead, Red wolf fish, bichirs, dwaft catfishes

wolf fish or bichirs sounds just about right..

maybe even longer depending on what you feed them. we tend to feed our fish a lot to grow them out faster. they can stay smaller if you feed less, but it's not as fun. You could go with polys, oscar, guppies, pikes, and more.

go with the upper jaw bichirs not the lower jaws, most upper jaw reach only 12" and lower jaws reach 18"+

a black or jardini could live in that for maybe 1/3 of their lifetime.
If I'm not mistaken, a third of their life would be around 16 years... Umm... Sorry. NO. The black arowana would be atleast 30" by that time. And the jardini would be atleast 27". Would you quit with the ignorant posts please?

They could live in there for their entire life if you want to stunt them and have them die prematurely too....

Good on ya for showing some restraint! Its all too easy (and tempting) to get the fish now and worry about upgrading later. Most lower jaw polys will be fine in that tank for life, although it will be too narrow for an ornate eventually.
