Aro tank size?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have seen silvers that big that a 3ft wide tank would be way to small i never took any pics as it had drop eye which i cant stand but silver owners just have to live with

looks big to me http://pescaprofesional.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/A4.jpg

i also have a pic of one just as large on my PC which i cant get to right now in a tank

Seriously, the amount of piss spewed in this topic is enough to fill a tank big enough to house a silver :P

I am think about a SA when I get my tank...96*30*24. It will be happy for a long time in there.

just do what makes u happy!!
its not cool too when u have 2 inch or a yolk still attached to it in monster size tank, so is vice versa

X2, 8x3x2 should be around 250 Gallon. You don't really need a bigger thank with a small base area, tank should be at least 8' long (Asian can be kept in 6' long tank) and 3' wide and 2' high. Not necessary to get a higher tank if the long and wide are not enough for the fish !

8x3x2 is a 360 gallon.

My next tank (probably for 1-1.5 year) will be:

10' x 4' x 2.5'
300cm x 120cm x 75 cm

= 600 gal or 2.700 l

for 3 x Black Arowana and 4 x Stingrays.

If somebody think that this size is too small, please let me know what you recommended. I have enough time to planning and thinking. I don't want to buy something that will be to small. 600 gal tank is to expensive to say for couple years that I made a wrong decision, should buy bigger.
600 gal. tank will be enough expensive and add 100 or even 200 gallons more is not a "big deal". The problem is space - where to put and how to maintenance tank (cleaning, filtrations etc.)...

Thanks !
