yes but the thread changed to his aro and it has been a while...no mention of the other one so if it was about the other one, it should have been quoted....i can say didn't that black aro get de?...out of the blue that make no sence and is random...if the tread changes the posts should fallow or revert back to the original via quote...more so since the op hasn't come back...

Yes as the thread has evolved(derailed) into other questions but the OPs original question is still relevant. The poster you are trying to berate specifically stated that "l did the same thing with mine lol" so anybody with half a brain can understand that is referring to the OPs original question and replies that is was just the lateral line.

So trying to insult someone because you are too stupid to understand their post makes you quite the ass, don't it?

now granted a new thread should have been started for the new aros problem not just taken the op's thread...since the op stated that ya, it was the laterial line...thus the late post was unnessary, not that i didn't understand the post...i knew it was refuring to the op, but how many times have people attacked anybody on here about random late posts that were about the original post after the thread has changed? answer is daily...you yourself have posted about people late posting and needing to read all or quote the refrance...so you comming after me for the same thing makes you out to be the greater ass, don't it?

This is called chipped scales and is almost always caused by poor water conditions. There is several things that can start this. The use of carbon removing needed calcium and minerals from the water. Overstocking and having ammonia spikes with every feeding if your tank is under filtered and uneaten food not quickly removed. So if you use carbon throw it out, check you local water hardness and mineral thresh hold. You may need to add a bag of crushed oyster shell to you filters; arowanas can take up minerals and calcium from the water through osmoses of the gills. With water changes be sure you are using a good conditioner that removes chlorine and chloramines (if used in your area), do not over dose these products. Be sure you feeding a varied diet if this can't be done food must be soaked or injected with a vitamin like Kent Zoe or Boyd Zitachem. Prawns contain thiaminase which inhibits the fish’s ability to use B vitamins which is critical for development. Right now you need very good water quality, and there is no need to add things to the water other than some ketapang or black water. Once you have your water good the hard part is telling if your doing the right thing as scales can take a long time to heal and grow back. It normal for erosion like your fish has to take 6 or more months, faster if it a young fish.

Best of Luck,

Sorry i dont agree that a new thread should have been started as i said in my posts to the op i was worried that his had the same problem as mine as it did seem to start from me noticing the lateral line more and was trying to help him as well as me.
:D be nice guys
