I totally agree there.

one thing I have noticed with raising the two aro's i had years ago. ( still have one) One fish became dominant and would beat the living hell out of the other. I had to separate them and later put them together again and did ok. Then at one moment the more docile aro stopped eatting and died, could not figure out what happened. So im stuck with one and hoping to move it to its new home this weekend.

Also when they were young, I fed them freeze dried krill. I would crush the kill in my hand and dump it in the tank. This my be the reason i had no issue when switching to pellet.

If the deceased baby silvers still had yolk sacs attached it's understandable. Silvers with sacs attached are very fragile in every aspect. probably one of the hardest fish to raise from that size--just my opinion.

bi weekly water changes at 20%... you need to test the water and i would bet that, that was not enough... i do 25 % a week.. and most on here say they do even more than that... make sure your tank is cycled correctly... get a test kit and make sure you do water changes when needed which is probablly more than 20% biweekly... if you did test your water and cycled your tank before hand... like stated above baby silver can be very touchy... live food is a bad idea... stick to freeze dried krill... i haven't seen one that didn't like that at a young age.. but i have only had 1 and a friend of mine has rasie up 3 silver and 1 black... and a 75 gal would not last long at all for a silver... i put mine in a 135 gallon not 7 months ago and i feel sry for him right now cuz he has way out grown the tank... but i have a 600 gal on the floor getting preped for him... hope you get it figured out... they are fun fish to watch
