Arowana is a surface swimmer, the length and width of the tank is important, height is important too so you will need sufficient height for the arowana. The minimum tank size that i recommend is 4'x2'x2',of course the larger the better
Within a short time arowana are 24 inches in length. You cannot keep a 24" fish is a 4 foot long tank.
ok thank youfor the inputBderick67;2819686; said:Within a short time arowana are 24 inches in length. You cannot keep a 24" fish is a 4 foot long tank.

i said minimum not for life but thx for da input anyway dam i can edit anymore lemme askthe modBderick67;2819750; said:IMO 6 foot long tank is no long enough for a 30" plus silver or black aro. Tank length should be about 3 times the length of the aro. So an 8 foot will take upto a 32 to 34" aro. The width should be equal to the length of the aro.
If your looking for a "life" type tank for a SA arowana, something with a 96" x 30" footprint is the minumum.
I agree, it should be 3 times the length of the fish. 30" will probably work, but best to have 3'.Bderick67;2819750; said:IMO 6 foot long tank is no long enough for a 30" plus silver or black aro.
