would you eat a cow that lays around in its own waste 24/7?
since that's basically how all cows are kept in the stockyards waiting to be brought into the slaughterhouse. . . . yes.

but its not like we eat the meat with poo on it... it goes thru the slaughterhouse, gets cleaned. washed, and when cooked it gets cleaner. yumm

And chickens. They're kept like that even beforehand. And turkeys. Pigs. I could keep going, lol.

It's not the actual meat laying in the waste...

I much prefer wild meat and actual farm raised, but the stuff from the store doesn't taste extremely horrible *shrug*.

I could eat an arowana as long as it wasn't one I raised, especially since I'm getting kind of attached to our baby silver . I have no problems eating or fileting wild fish though, or processing other wild animals *shrug*. If it tastes good, it tastes good.

I would NEVER EAT A PET! I don't eat ANYTHING that lives in water.

what an interesting, enriching thread. is this Piranha fury??

Arowana are crap to eat, anyone eating them especially asian aro's is just feeding their ego.

Big difference between pima and aro... look how big and bulky pima's are, beautiful big fillets. Aro's on the other hand are thin and full of bones.

Yes, I only eat the insides anyway.

I've heard otherwise, bony - yes, but friends who use to live up north ate Jar and they think its nice.

You eat what you like and you pay what you think is fair. Some might say us eatting alot of mangos (V. exspensive in Japan) is showie and just being done to feed our egos.

reminds me of this picture, which is kind of disturbing. not mine by the way

I'd eat that, looks nice. I'd also like to try giant Gourami and I've read that Pacu is good eatting too.
Just cause a fish is popular in the aquarium trade doesn't mean it shouldn't be eaten. People eat popular aquarium fish every day and have done so for 1000's of years. Why should they change their habits just cause there is a different type of demand on them today.
