recently i reserved one at a fishshop because i return to malaysia in 3 days. by then i have to decide whether i actually want it or simply forfeit the deposit that my mum put.

3 more days:irked: man the wait is killing me. I'm really looking forward to pics of your pond and the monsters in it. :) How big is the gigas? with those monster cats you have it's gonna be hard to add any new fish unless they are already monster. What do you feed those cats anyhow?

The actual story of it goes like this:

There was a son of a rich businessman who had everything in the world. Once he met a gold digger in a restaurant who wanted to play him like a fool as she has seen many spoiled rich kids. So she asked if he can give her anything she wanted and he said yes. So she asked that naive rich man to buy and cook the xback that is in the restaurant to eat. It costs $100,000 and he paid it without thinking the real value of money. And the owner of the restaurant ask him if he really wanted to he can BUT he has to EAT all of the xback including scales even bones. And on that day he finally knew the xback's value.

yeh well its monday now and ill be home on thursday evening so ill post pis at around midnight considering i always reach home @ 11pm only. not long to go. im thinking about purchasing an already large arowana or garfish to put in the pond. if i dont do that then ill just have to grow out some fish in the 7 foot tank b4 they can go in. the last time i put an 18 inch sturgeon in the pond he didnt even last one night...quite annoying....im also thinking about RTC*TSN hybrid or maybe even a wallago if i dare....my mum is quite annoyed that the fish in the pond just sit there and grow fat all day (cause they are all nocturnal) they are also all bottom dwelling fish. thats y an arapaima or arowana would be perfect.

Up till this day the only food my pond monsters will eat is live fish (carp) that i specially order weekly from a supplier. the carp i order are about 3 inches each which is a decent size for my fish. they can consume 300 pieces weekly without fail. its freaking breaking the bank. the RTCs will eat anything like pellets or frozen food but the TSNs and CKs are extremely hard to train at this age. im afraid that if i starve them long enough they might attack each other. but my one goal when i return home is to convert them into pellet consumers. if i buy koi pellets in bulk it would be a lot cheaper and lower risk of disease. im in for a rough ride.

I'd eat a pig's a#@hole if you cooked it right......but wouldnt eat a home raised arowana......maybe if I was fishing in the amazon.

I'd eat that, looks nice. I'd also like to try giant Gourami and I've read that Pacu is good eatting too.
Just cause a fish is popular in the aquarium trade doesn't mean it shouldn't be eaten. People eat popular aquarium fish every day and have done so for 1000's of years. Why should they change their habits just cause there is a different type of demand on them today.

Gouramis are sold in some fish markets here in the Philippines..

i'd never tried aro
GG,tinfoil barb,snakehead,helicopter catfish,=
barb kinda bony meat..

Concerning eating typical aquarium fish. I went to an oriental grocery store somewhere and found them packed up in the frozen foods. I remember seeing large tinfoil barbs.
Can't remember what else I found there now.
