hmm...how many hours do you spend with your reds? seems they aren't used to your presence.

I really couldn't tell you. I have the tank setup against the wall in my bedroom. I'm in there throughout the day, like today, I was doing lots of cleaning. I also had to do water changes every day, and then every other day for a period of 2 weeks, so they should be used to me. I also lay in there and watch TV, I think they can see me on my bed. Then there's the times when I feed them, and when I test the water parameters, and when I readjust the decor in the tank.

1 on 1 it could but not against a pack of rbp.
maybe you should have got some caribe's instead of your reds.

do they show more red than what we can see in the pic? it might just be the flash that washed them out

The reddish color on the fins is actually a dark red, but other than that, DARK, with the gold shimmer.

Edit: the flash makes them look lighter. They look essentially BLACK, and the sparkles or whatever you wanna call em, are gold.

do you have any pictures without the flash?

piranhas should only be kept with piranhas
safley atleast
this question is always asked and its getting really annoying
i think we should make a sticky about piranhyas and what can be kept with them
