piranhas kill everything... end of story. :D

they dont really, but you should always assume they will and only keep "feeders" in thier tanks

rly bad idea to test other fish with piranhas, especially arowanas lol, their a bit to expensive and beautiful to be "tested" on :D

piranhas should only be kept with piranhas
safley atleast
this question is always asked and its getting really annoying
i think we should make a sticky about piranhyas and what can be kept with them
im sure that wouldn't do much to prevent the question from being asked, there are already plenty of questions posted here that could easily be answered if people checked the stickies or searched through the threads in this forum.

it seems like it would be a common sense question, especially since most first-time piranha buyers get them because of their bloodthirsty reputation... i mean, these are the fish that the general public thinks eats everything that steps into the amazon, picking the bones clean in a matter of seconds and moving on to find their next kill. that is the perception that most young people have when they walk into the lfs and see them sitting in a tank, that is usually the reason that they buy them, so why is it that once they get them home, they forget about the reason that they bought them in the first place and start wondering what other fish they can mix with them?

i didn't mean that as a flame in any way, those are just my thoughts on the situation. if you guys want, i can try to write up a thread using that and a bunch of other info and we can try to make it a sticky, but like i said, i don't know how much good it'll do... i suppose it would be nice to just post a link to the sticky everytime someone asked the question tho, huh?
