silver aros almost always tend to have that??

Seems that 90% of large Aros I've seen has had DE. There's been "discussions" on what can cure or prevent DE. One of these was floating ping pong balls because it supposedly gives it's eyes something to focus on. I don't believe this works. I think if it gets DE, it gets DE.

i think there are tactics to possibly prevent DE from happening. Feeding crickets, has cured many DE cases that I know of. keeping crickets above the tank (jar, critter keeper) to always keep the arowana looking up. Plus healthier than feeder fish (or feeder ducks?) since crickets are land insects, not like aquatic animals that can carry more possible aquatic parasites and diseases. I don't think aro will be tantalized or interested in eating ping pong balls, more than live crickets.

But on silver arowanas, I notice have more DE symptoms more than any other aro species. even black aro species don't have DE as much. Perhaps something in the genes of captive breeding maybe??... I dunno?? :uhoh:

:D Crazy fast jump!
wow thats crazy.... now y wouldnt you put a lid on that tank???
I dunno why neither? :screwy:  :uhoh:

Also don't know why he used a towel to pickup the aro?... using a towel will just take off or remove more slime coat off of the fish. :uhoh:
