Arowana Owner's Nightmare

Don't you guys know the difference between a rat and a mouse? Rat > Mouse. That was a mouse. Theres no way an arrowana could eat a full grown rat.

As you can clearly see in the vid the arrowana got aggitated and jumped, most likely because the mouse was bitting the $hit out of him. Feeding mice to arrows is a bad idea and is very unhealthy to the fish.

Ditto. I agree w/ Jay. I don't feed any mice to any of my fish, even if I kept pirahnas (which i don't)... I wouldn't feed. Not really the best kind of live food you can give your fish. If anything, at least 'knock' the mouse out first, so it can't fight back and cause any damage (internal or external) to your fish. :uhoh:

lol....had that happen 2 me...problem was my aro was about 20'' and wasnt home...MOM came 2 rescue and threw his butt back in tank....

You see it circling before it jumps...it was triangulating its target.
 
WOW this shows how powerful aros are. I don't understand how it got that much propulsion from such little movement...it's like one second it was there and then the next it was on the floor :P
