i dont normally agree with much you say but i do with this one :D

air line/gaurds are only ment to transport they should be removed asap you can get fungus i also think it knocks the rays balance out as rays use their tails as a rudder when swimming

i have had newly imported rays with air line that wouldnt feed after 1 day of taking the air line off they were feeding

hows ur arro eating? is he still eating fin and swiming fine, if he seems to be normal and its beena while im sure he wil be ok, as for it healing,. i never kept an asian arro but when my jar had a spot like that it took quite some time for scales to heal and look normal
 
The aros doing well hes eating like a pig again ithink hes learned his lesson now as he says well clear of the motoros.

yeah the guard is used for shipping only please people don't start putting airlines on your rays stinger:screwy::screwy:
 
my arow (jardini). kept picking on my henli ray .next morning the ray had his tail lifted up and over his body stuck!! his own tail was stuck into his own body . must of missed the arrow.. he did not make it . i got rid of the jar!!!!
